Global Surveys
The Global Survey on HIV/AIDS is a collaborative venture
between Yale University and The World Bank. We are interested in better
understanding the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on Disabled populations
around the globe. We are also interested in learning about whether or not
individuals and populations with physical, sensory (deafness, blindness),
intellectual and mental health impairments have been included in HIV/AIDS
education and outreach efforts. We are asking programs, projects, advocacy
groups, non-governmental agencies (NGOs) and governmental agencies to complete
this survey and return it to us either via e-mail or post. We would also
be most grateful to learn about any projects, programs, educational interventions
and/or materials concerning HIV/AIDS developed to reach specific or general
Disabled populations. (We will be compiling references and establishing
links to organizations that have developed these materials, as well as working
to establish a 'best practices' website for use by groups around the world).
Please begin, if you have not already done so, by completing and returning
the attached survey. Note that it is available in the following languages:
English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic and Swahili. Please complete the
survey in whatever language you feel most comfortable writing in - (if your
language is not listed above, complete the survey in whatever language is
easiest and we will have it translated here). We thank you in advance for
taking the time to help us collect this data and share it with others.
